Fundraiser at CycleBar Berkeley

Dig: We're having a fundraising spin class at CycleBar in Berkeley on July 13! Please come out if you can.

Here's a registration link -- all the details are below. Huge thanks to CycleBar and CycleGiving, roots & shoots, East Brother Beer Company, and Title Nine sports apparel.

Please support our Go Fund Me campaign

We've launched a crowd-funding campaign through Go Fund Me. All the deets are here:

Please share as widely as possible.

And there's lots more going on at Dirt World. We're hosting community events.

We're writing grants, which we are very hopeful about. We're planning another charitable bike event with our friends at Rich City Rides and Share the Ride. We're getting ready for Sea Otter, where we'll be repping Richmond with our friend Alex Fowler of Action Sports Construction -- and riding and blabbing and camping.

See you in the dirt!

Great coverage in SF Chronicle!

Great write-up on D2, Jasmin and Dirt World in the San Francisco Chronicle. You can peep it here:

Thanks Otis and Michael!

MLK Day of Service at Dirt World

On Jan. 16 we honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a volunteer event at the Dirt World site. The day of service featured appearances by Richmond Mayor Tom Butt, many city council members, and 350 volunteers who helped plant trees, weed, mulch, and generally prep the site for construction. Huge thanks to Friends of the Richmond Greenway, Groundwork Richmond, the Watershed Project and all the many other orgs that helped make it all happen. Dirt World isn't just about having fun on bikes -- it's about revitalizing our city and fostering community in divisive times.

The event was covered by the East Bay Times and KGO-TV.

Share the Ride Event!

We had a great charitable bike event on Jan. 14 at the Dirt World site. Pinkbike's Share the Ride Foundation, Rich City Rides and Dirt World got together to give bikes, helmets, and locks to a more than dozen Richmond youths. It was really wonderful to see all the smiles and see more young people out riding!

Share the Ride partnered with Mongoose for BMX bikes (and one little push bike), Kali Protectives for helmets, and ABUS for locks to the keep all the new rides secure.

We're so thankful to Kim Brennan at Pinkbike/Share the Ride for making the event happen. Also huge thanks to the good folks at Kali Protectives, a cool Nor Cal gear company. We had fun visiting their warehouse down in Morgan Hill and scoping out their backyard jump/pump/drop track.

Things were wet and soupy at Dirt World, so D2 and Najari took the crew on a group ride over to the Kennedy pump track and the skatepark. Good times.

Thanks to Josue Hernandez from Rich City Rides for taking the photos here.
